Value Sets
A ValueSet specifies a set of codes drawn from one or more code systems, intended for use in a particular context. A value set defines the range of coded concepts that can be populated within a coded element in a data structure. A value set expansion is the set of coded concepts resulting from applying a value set definition to a specific version of the indicated code systems.

| ServDescVS | This value set includes all codes defined in the ServDesc code system. |
| OrgTypeVS | This value set includes DirectTrust Entity Type classification codes for organizational entities. It does not include, for example, the entity type for entities classified as an individual person acting in a personal capacity. |
| HispIdVS | This value set includes all codes defined in the HispIdCS code system. |
| DTFormatCodeVS | This value set includes all codes defined in the DTFormatCodeCS code system. |
| MetadataTypeVS | This value set includes all codes defined in the MetadataTypeCS code system. |

| This value set includes codes from the National Uniform Claims Committee (NUCC) Provider Taxonomy code system which describe a “type” of health care provider organization which represent specialties, degrees, licenses, and certifications relevant to individual practitioners. It intentionally excludes grouping-level and non-individual organization categories (for example agencies, facilities, hospitals, laboratories, managed care organizations, suppliers, and transportation services) to keep the expansion aligned to individual practitioner use. | |
| This value set includes codes from the SNOMED CT code system which are in the medical specialty hierarchy and represent a curated list of a limited set of care specialties used to categorize providers and care facilities in a fixed set of specialty areas. It includes the concept “Other Specialty” for use cases where the available specialty codes in the value set do not offer a good match. | |
| This extensionally defined value set includes all codes defined in the Service Delivery Location Role Type, Healthcare Service Location Type Combined, and CMS Place of Service value sets. These concepts are intended to be used to classify the type of Facility Location. | |
